Oksana ALMAZ is an award-winning performer known for her elegant, captivating and mesmerizing style. Oksana has performed across Canada, as well as internationally in the United States, Asia, Europe, South America and Africa.
After her first bellydance class, Oksana instantly fell in love. The beautiful music, unique moves and feminine nature of the dance style inspired her. Her passion for Oriental Dance is evident in her powerful stage presence and creative routines. Her dedication to the practice has led her to achieve exceptional technique and a dynamic style.
Oksana’s dance training began at Hannan's Bellydance studio, now known as the Egyptian Dance Academy where she studied intensively with the local teachers.
Oksana became a faculty member of the Egyptian Dance Academy in 2009 where she instructed weekly classes until 2016. She was the artistic director of W.O.W. (a.k.a. Women of the World) which is the innovative troupe of Egyptian Dance Academy. Oksana’s choreographies are known for their energetic composition and versatility.
Oksana was also a lead dancer with the Egyptian Dance Company, where she appeared in their stage productions.
Oksana has studied with a multitude of Egyptian Dance Masters such as Randa Kamel, Mohamed Shahin, Tito Seif, Khaled Mahmoud, and Raqia Hassan, to name a few. She continues to enrich her repertoire by taking dance workshops internationally and frequently travels to Egypt, not only to perform, but also to enhance her training and finesse her technique.
Her tireless training and constant presence in the Oriental Dance community has enabled her to fine-tune her musicality and precision. She has been a well-established performer in Toronto and Canada for the past few years.
Oksana continues to teach private classes and specialty workshops locally and internationally.
Oksana performs regularly at weddings, private functions, festivals and corporate events.
